Webb appeal turned down

Leeds full-back Brent Webb has had his appeal against a two match suspension turned down by the RFL.

The Kiwi international was punished for a reckless high tackle on Warrington hooker Mickey Higham in their win over the Wolves last Friday.

The £300 fine was also upheld and Webb was ordered to surrender a £200 bond placed before the appeal.

The decision means Webb is unavailable for the Rhinos’ Engage Super League derby at Bradford Bulls on Sunday and their Carnegie Challenge Cup home quarter-final against Wigan Warriors on Saturday May 29.
