West Wales sign Australian hooker
West Wales have signed young Australian hooker Mitch Shaw for the rest of the season.
Shaw has played a lot of his rugby league for Brisbane East, before linking up with Coventry Bears in League 1.
After gaining a release from Coventry, Shaw approached the Raiders about the possibility of joining the squad for the remainder of the season and Kim Williams welcomed him to West Wales.
Williams commented: “I am very happy to have Mitch on board for the remainder of the 2019 season.
“He is a player who can cover several positions and will add some depth to our spine.
“He is young and seems to be very willing to learn so I am looking forward to working with him throughout the second half of the year.”
