Whitehaven duo sign contract extensions

Whitehaven have confirmed that Tom Wilkinson and Sam Dowsett have signed contract extensions until the end of the 2021 season. 

The pair signed from amateur side Askam during the off-season and have gone on to make a combined 11 appearances so far this campaign.

An astute hooker, Dowsett returned to the professional game after having a stint at Workington in 2017, whereas loose forward Wilkinson only made the step up the divisions for the first time in his career.

Whitehaven are currently top of Betfred League One, having won five and drawn one of their opening seven matches.
