Widnes bring in Warrington forward on loan
Widnes have signed Warrington forward Ellis Robson on loan for the rest of the season.
Robson, 20, played against the Vikings for Rochdale on Sunday and has also turned out for Dewsbury this season.
He said: “I’m really excited to be joining the club and getting stuck in with the lads.
“Widnes are a big club, and the support they’ve had this year is outstanding, so I can’t wait to play in front of them and dig in until the end of the season.
“Coming to Widnes is definitely a challenge, but it’s a challenge that I’m really looking forward to starting.”
After their spell in administration earlier this season, Widnes continue to be in “special measures” which has restricted their ability to bolster their squad.
The club says they have been able to complete this deal with the support of the RFL and Warrington.
Since losing Krisnan Inu, Adam Tangata and Wellington Albert following administration, the Vikings have also seen Liam Hood depart.
They signed Dominic Speakman, who was released to accommodate the recent addition of Josh Ganson, while Patrick Ah Van has recently returned to the club on a short-term deal following the end of the French season.
