Wigan and London Skolars will continue their dual-registration agreement in 2019.

The two clubs have a strong relationship, having the annual pre-season friendly hosted at the Honourable Artillery Company.

The Skolars had the likes of Ollie Partington, Samy Kibula Craig Mullen play for them last season from Wigan.

Wigan executive director Kris Radlinski said: “It’s great to announce that some of our players will be heading to the capital to play for the London Skolars.

“Wigan have been a long-time supporter of rugby league in London and we believe that our players will benefit from the experience of playing competitive rugby in League 1 for an organisation that is clearly on the rise.”

Skolas’ director of rugby Mark Croston commented: “This is a significant opportunity for the Skolars and provides the younger talent at Wigan a fantastic opportunity to experience London and the challenge of League 1 rugby.

“Darrell [Goulding] and everyone at Wigan have been very supportive and provided opportunities for us to gain an insight into how a champion club goes about its business.

“They are linking up with a very determined group of players in North London.”
