Wigan set to welcome back Kai Pearce-Paul for Toulouse clash
Wigan head coach Matt Peet has confirmed that Kai Pearce-Paul will be included in his squad to face Toulouse this Friday.
The 21-year-old has been sidelined since the end of March, having picked up a knee injury against Salford in the sixth round of the Challenge Cup.
Pearce-Paul had been enjoying fine form until then in the centres for the DW Stadium side, having made six appearances in Super League.
However, after a long stint watching from the stands, he could make his return against Toulouse this Friday.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Peet confirmed the news. He said: “Kai will be in the squad. He’s ready. We are mindful of his game-time, but he’s in fantastic condition.
“He’s such a good lad. He works hard and has been a credit to everyone in the way he’s trained through his injury.
“For a young player like him and any other young players, the first injury you get with an extended period can be a real learning curve. He’s certainly attacked it with the same sort of intensity that we’ve seen in his practise in the past.”
It will be a welcomed return for the former London Broncos youngster. He enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2021 with the Warriors, making 19 appearances.
He was awarded joint player of the year alongside Joe Shorrocks at the club’s end of season presentation.
Peet will be without Cade Cust and Iain Thornley for the visit of the French outfit during Round 16 due to injuries. However, the club have set their hopeful in-house return dates for the pair.
