Wigan sign American International
Wigan Warriors Women have announced the signing of American international back Taylor White ahead of the start of the Women’s Super League season.
White, who can play at full-back, on the wing or in the halves, comes with vast ammounts of experience in both codes of the game.
She has played sevens, nines, rugby league and rugby union across a couple of different teams. She has played for Memphis, Phoenix and Roots Rugby.
Speaking about her move, she said: “I am super excited to become a part of the Wigan family; it already feels like home. I believe that this is where I am meant to be and I’m looking forward to an awesome season ahead.”
Women’s Head Coach Kris Ratcliffe added: “Taylor got in touch because she has fallen in love with Rugby League having had a small taste of the sport in the USA.
“She’s proven already that she has the desire and heart to be a Warrior. She’s an athlete and will give it everything she’s got to be a great rugby player.
“I’m excited about seeing her progress. She will be made very welcome, will undoubtedly enjoy her time with us and writes a new chapter in the history of our Club and the Women’s game.”

Wigan’s first match of the new season sees them make the journey to defending champions St Helens.
