Win getting closer for Broncos

London Broncos coach Tony Rea feels a first win of the season is getting closer for his side.

The Broncos suffered two more defeats over the Easter weekend, going down 28-22 at home to Catalan, before a 40-4 reverse at Hull on Monday.

It leaves them firmly in the relegation zone, having suffered 10 defeats from 10, although they are only four points shy of safety.

Rea told the club’s official website: “We did some decent things and we are courageous.

“I think we’re closer than we were on Thursday. We probably didn’t play the conditions but fair play to Hull for handling it better than us.

“We’ve had an error-riddled Easter, but we’re fine and confidence isn’t an issue.”

London remain favourites for relegation, although showed resolve on Thursday against Catalan, scoring three tries in the final 10 minutes to ensure a close final scoreline.

Following their exit from the Challenge Cup at the hands of Catalan, the Broncos now have a week off until a trip to St Helens on May 1.
