Workington move for Calvin Wellington
Workington have signed former St Helens three-quarter Calvin Wellington.
Wellington, 23, came through the academy at Saints before joining Welsh rugby union side Dragons.
He had a month’s trial at Salford earlier this year, appearing in their pre-season friendly against Wigan.
Town director of rugby, Gary Murdock, said: “We’re extremely pleased to have landed a player with his pedigree as we look to kick on this season.”
Wellington, who played alongside Wales wing Regan Grace at Saints, played rugby league for South Wales Scorpions prior to signing a professional deal with St Helens.
