Yow Yeh waits for surgery

Injured winger Jharal Yow Yeh has returned to Brisbane but may not undergo surgery on his damaged ankle for another week.

Yow Yeh suffered a compound fracture against South Sydney at NIB Stadium in Perth on Friday, but surgeons will wait before they operate.

“The big issue with a compound fracture now is infection,” said Broncos manager Andrew Gee.

“The next few days will be spent making sure it is clean

“Once they are happy with that then the next operation can go ahead.

“After the surgery we will know more about when he is able to play and when he can start a process to get back on the field.”
